The state of Florida is giving us two sales tax holidays this year — one June 1-7 for Disaster Preparedness and the other August 7-16 for Back to School.

During the 2018 Florida Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday June 1-7, stock up on qualifying disaster preparedness supplies exempt from tax. For more information and a list of qualifying items, visit floridarevenue.com/disasterprep.

Governor Rick Scott signed House Bill 5601 last year that created the sales tax holiday for hurricane supplies beginning June 1.
